A friend from work gave me 2 tickets to the GR Civic Theatre... Ella and I made a date night out of it. We went to dinner and then the play. Afterwards Ella got a picture with Cinderella...didn't want one with the prince so I snap a photo of just him.
This year we tried another local tree farm. Mike was not up for the hunt and the cut so we picked one from their favorite cuts.

Mom's Letter To Ella
Ella's preschool does a star of the week program and one part of that is for parents to write a letter to their child. I put Ella's letter within a book on snapfish. I very excited for them to read it tomorrow and for her to see the book. To view the book go to the link below.
This year my neighbor and I decided to do a fall fest party. I made really cute invites and we put them around the neighborhood. We didn't have the greatest turn out but had a lot of fun doing it. We will try it again next year! Best gift bag goodie: whoppie cushion!
This September Grand Rapids was alive with people coming to see the over 1000 different pieces of art put in the ART Prize competion. Mike and I took the kids and they loved it. I am sure that Ella will one day have her own Art piece in the competition. Here are pics of some of our favorites.
This letter (written by a parent) is to be read out loud by the teacher to the class
Ella Schavey
Ella Schavey is our special little girl. She loves to play dress up and put make-up on. She even tried cutting her beautiful curls.
Ella Schavey makes our family laugh and smile She does her best to sing Taylor Swift. She knows how to get to grandma nauty -pants’ house …all two hundred and twenty miles.
Ella Schavey we love her so She is kind and smart But watch out when she farts!
Ella Schavey does her best in school She listens to her teachers and plays nice with her friends She doesn’t get timeouts, because that’s not cool.

Tenting IT
We were excited to have our friends Alex and Cal over for a sleep over. The kids decided that we should put the tent in the backyard. So the tent went up, then went down when Mike was fixing how I put the tent together. The Schavey kids were asleep first and then Cal missed his mom so the sleepover ended. When Joey and Ella woke up in the morning, we got out of the tent and made a pancake breakfast.
Family Reunion in TC
Gotta love the view in TC!
Ella was the dog walker the whole 6hours we were there. Here she is cuddling with one.
We love Clare and this is one of my favorite videos of her from 4th of July. Clare has such an amazing personality. Ella and Clare are like 2 peas in a pod...getting into a lot of trouble together. Notice the flare added to Clare's outfit.
In July we went to Traverse City to hang out with Grandma and Papa. The kids had a blast at Cherry Festival...walking in the parade with the GVSU Alumni Association. Here is Ella enjoying herself on one of the rides (the only ride she took part in...I was so proud of her).

Week of 4th of July
Wow did we have a great week. The week ended with the 5 K run and the kids completing the 1 mile run. They did such an awesome job. If you see below you can see we made Tye die shirts...look a little further down and you can see what they were suppose to look like. Lesson learned...do not dry the shirts right away.
I will post videos later but right now I only have time to post the pictures.
